A few years ago we achieved a monumental step in redesigning the district to be more for people, and less for our cars.  We rebuilt two blocks with new lighting, benches, trees, and garbage containers.  This year we continued this redesign another two blocks in each direction.  However, there is still one more block to redo, and we're not going to forget about it. 

 

Design isn't just about the street and sidewalk though, its about complete aesthetics; the way in which people experience the district with all of their senses. 

 

Currently we are working to complete the redevelopment of our district's public space, but there's lots more to be done.  If you have a particular interest in historic preservation, architecture, landscape, storefronts, or public art, than this committee  is for you.
